WiC Weekly: May 1-May 7

It’s time for WiC Weekly, where we recap the biggest Game of Thrones news stories from the past week. Let’s start with the 17 officials images HBO released from tonight’s new episode, “Oathbreaker.”

If that doesn’t sate your need for teases, check out the trailer for “Oathbreaker.”

HBO’s schedule revealed that the as-yet-unnamed finale of Season 6 will be longer than any other episode the show has produced.

Kit Harington had quite a week on the interview circuit—everyone wanted to know his thoughts on Jon Snow’s resurrections, and Entertainment Weekly got the most out of him.

He also talked about how Jon will be different now that he’s been to the other side.

As always, we thoroughly recapped last Sunday’s Game of Thrones episode. Last week, it was “Home.” Here’s our recap for book-readers…

…and our recap for Unsullied viewers.

Harington wasn’t the only Game of Thrones cast member making waves last week. Sophie Turner teased Sansa’s coming arc on the show.

Now that Game of Thrones is six years old, it has a wealth of history to draw on, and the producers are taking advantage of it. Check out our list of references they packed into “Home.”

Click below to learn the titles of Episodes 4 and 5 in Game of Thrones Season 6. I like the title of Episode 4 a lot.

We teased out the themes of “Home” in our thematic analysis.
