According to reports, thousands are queuing up today in the Spanish town of Zumaia, in hopes they will be chosen to appear in Game of Thrones as extra casting gets underway. Over the weekend ModExpor posted a casting notice for extras for the coming filming session for Game of Thrones Season 7 that will be taking place at the end of October.
The filming dates are October 21-30th, and the casting call notice for men only, ages 20 to 50. They want all types of races: white men, “Mediterranean looking” (ie Dornish) and darker skinned (ie Dothraki.) No underaged actors and no women. (Interesting.)

Translated (roughly):
“Casting for extras for all the North Zones
Men 20 to 50 years of age, white, and brown. No minors Not casting women. Must be in good physical condition 178 to 195 cm tall. We value military experience looking for local people. Must be willing to cut or grow facial hair. No tattoos visible and come come to casting in shorts and shorts sleeves. Must be available October 21-30. Must be available to try own costume the week before. Will be paid €54 per day. Only 200 spots available.”
Casting, as you’ll note on the notice is happening today (these notices always go up right beforehand.) The short space between announcement and day of didn’t depress turn out though. Reports from Zumaia this morning say that thousands have turned out in hopes of getting one of those 200 slots.
