Today on WiC Weekly, we bring you the biggest Game of Thrones-related stories from the entirety of 2017.

Let us begin with the return of filming on Game of Thrones Season 7! The cast members were on holiday break, but now they’re back in the saddle.

Speaking of filming, we sift through some evidence and try to suss out the answer to an important question: will the episodes of Game of Thrones Season 7 be longer than usual?

Another question: should the episodes of Game of Thrones Season 7 be longer than usual? We debate in the Small Council.

More news from this week: Game of Thrones can’t stop getting nominated for awards, whether from the American Cinema Editors…

…the Art Directors Guild…

…or the Producers Guild, where the producers for Season 6 are nominated for the “Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama.” That’s a lot to carve onto a statue.

But the big award ceremony happens tonight! Game of Thrones is up for a couple of Golden Globes. Will it take home the top prize?

Enough time has passed since Hodor’s death to look at actor Kristian’s Nairn’s original audition tape for the show without getting wistful or maudlin, right? We hope so.

George R.R. Martin is currently hard at work on The Winds of Winter, but he forewent the end-of-year status update many fans were expecting. People have some feelings about that.

And we end on a funny note, as Game of Thrones fan Tom Brady taunts his opposition.
