A New Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer Leaks From Comic Con 2017!

We were expecting something fun out of Comic Con today, but our expectations were tempered, what with Game of Thrones already into season 7. Perhaps a bloopers reel, a behind the scenes special, perhaps just a really entertaining panel full of dirty jokes?

Well it’s not even noon on the east coast, and a juicy new trailer for season 7 has already turned up, apparently out of Comic Con! The trailer has a host of quotes and voiceovers, with some moments we’ve even already seen in the first episode. The trailer seems to cover the entire season, so beware of spoilers throughout! A helpful fan sent us a link to the Game of Thrones trailer, and we took a few screencaps for a closer look at the new and interesting material.

Select screencaps below the cut, which do include spoilers!

The video opens with Daenerys reminding us, “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms…and I will.”

But another queen, Cersei, tells her people (including Randyll and Dickon Tarly) that “The Mad King’s daughter will destroy the realm. We must stand together if we hope to stop her.” There’s several new or interesting images sprinkled through the trailer. It’s great to get a nice close-up of Tom Hopper as the recast Dickon.

Cersei on the Throne

We see the Lannister army marching once again, and throughout there we spy the clash between the Lannisters and the Unsullied.

There’s several shots of the north, including this one with children- including a girl- being taught to handle a bow and arrow.

Jon pleads with people, “We can’t hope to defeat the Night King’s army on our own. Daenerys has dragon fire.” We see Lord Royce’s reminder from the season premiere that “A Targaryen cannot be trusted.” Welp.

Jon speaking

There’s a very telling new glimpse of Cersei…with Euron Greyjoy at her side. I’m guessing she likes his gift.

Cersei with Euron

As Littlefinger says in voiceover, “Everyone is your enemy,” we see Euron in King’s Landing once again, dragging someone tied to his horse, and while the shot isn’t completely clear- it’s easier to tell in the video. This does not bode well for

There’s a lovely clear shot of Varys joining Melisandre on Dragonstone. What will the magic-hating eunuch have to say to the fire priestess?

We see a large group of people ascending the Dragonstone stairs. Someone’s wearing a metallic gorget- a lot like the one we’ve seen Jon Snow wearing.

“Everyone is your enemy. Everyone’s your friend. Every possible series of events is happening all at once.” Littlefinger speaks to Sansa. She’s still not thrilled to be in his presence.

As he speaks, we see a flashing of images (mostly already seen in trailers before) including Daenerys waiting on the stairs on Dragonstone.

Dany waits

I’m getting pumped for this epic battle with the Unsullied. Judging by the wall coloring, this looks like Casterly Rock.

And of course, a shot of a dragon loving their freedom.

Around the :45 second mark, right after Yara and Ellaria are seen about to kiss, there’s a quick glimpse of our favorite stoneman, Jorah!

Brightened up just to be sure!

As if the shot of Melisandre before wasn’t enough, we know for sure now that the Red priestess has turned to Daenerys thanks to this scene:

“I believe you have a role to play…as does another,” Melisandre tells Daenerys.

Which other does she refer to? We’ll have to wait to find out, won’t we.

What do you all think of the new trailer?
