WiC Weekly: February 28-March 5

From Season 6 spoilers to Winds of Winter developments to behind-the-scenes looks at production, here’re the biggest Game of Thrones new stories from the past week. First up, George R.R. Martin reads a few chapters from The Winds of Winter at a recent con.

Next, both Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Sophie Turner (Sansa) may have let slip spoilers about the upcoming year.

HBO’s behind-the-scenes look at Game of Thrones Season 6 gives us hints of many things to come.

We’ve had a good idea of who Ian McShane would be playing on Season 6 for a while now, but the actor confirmed things in a recent interview.

The Season 5 DVD boxset is almost here. Check out one of the deleted scenes from the set.

Just as the Game of Thrones showrunners have departed from the books, so has George R.R. Martin departed from the show. The Winds of Winter, the next book in his saga, will feature a plot twist that involves a character who is dead on the show but alive in the books. We, and you, wonder who it will be.

By this point, we know most of the new actors involved in Season 6, but there are still a few minor ones trickling in.

Time to get our fan theory on. What is the “Cleganebowl” theory, and does it pertain to anything that may happen in Season 6?

HBO has teased things about Season 5, but not as much as in prior years. We talk about what might be behind this attitude. Let us know what you think!

Lastly, we’ve got two deep dives into Game of Thrones mythology for you.
