With Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 4, “Book of the Stranger” having been recited verse and chapter, HBO has put out the trailer for next week’s episode, which has the slightly perplexing and versatile title: “The Door.”
As a reminder, those who are looking for my full scale breakdown, we’ll still be posting that at it’s usual time of 6pm EST, Monday. But until we can get to that, here’s the trailer by itself to hold you over.
If you haven’t seen “Book of the Stranger” yet, or have but don’t want to know what’s coming next, cease reading, because here there be SPOILERS.
Here is the synopsis:
Episode #55 (season 6, episode 5): “The Door”
Debut: Sunday, May 22 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) learns a great deal. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) goes on a mission. Arya (Maisie Williams) is given a chance to prove herself.

Not in the synopsis, but in the trailer we also learn:
- Sansa is not pleased with Littlefinger. He’s going to need to make this Ramsay marriage business up to her. Big time.
- Arya is going to get her first crack at assassinating since she screwed up last time.
- We’re going to sit through the Kingsmoot. Here’s hoping it’s not nearly as long as in the books.
- Our new Red Priestess will arrive to make a deal with Tyrion
- And Bran …..is having a very bad dream. A very, very bad dream. You know the kind you can’t wake up from? Yeah, that’s not good when you’re seeing things…like, The Night’s King.
