soundtrack

We’ve been wondering when the Game of Thrones season 6 soundtrack would be dropping, and finally there’s news. According to iTunes, the soundtrack should be available for download on June 24th for $9.99, so we’ll have the album in just a few days! You can pre-order it now, at that link. The season 6 soundtrack is released by WaterTower Music and contains 26 pieces of music created by Ramin Djawadi. The download also comes with a digital booklet.

Some of the titles, we can guess which music it is (Hold the Door, excuse me while I weep), but some are vaguer and more alarming. Have we heard “Winter Has Come” or can we look forward to that in “The Winds of Winter”?

We don’t have a firm date for the CD release of the soundtrack; Amazon is listing two different dates in late July, however, so that is probably a good indicator. We’ll let you know if we get an officially confirmed release date.
