Winter has come and gone, but there’s plenty left to say, as this new book will tell you. The Unofficial Guide to Game of Thrones, by Insider‘s Kim Renfro, covers all eight seasons of the show, packed with details on the making of Game of Thrones, the pop culture phenomenon and in-depth analysis.
We can look forward to Renfro exploring a range of questions such as: What was the Night King’s ultimate purpose? How did the show effect George R.R. Martin’s ability to finish the book series? Why were the final seasons shorter? Why did the direwolves get shortchanged? How were the fates of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen foretold from the start? And was that really a bittersweet ending? I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the book courtesy of the publisher and I can say I enjoyed it immensely. It’s a thoroughly expert guide, from the pilot through the finale, with tremendous heart and fun.
