The Television Critics Association announced the nominations for their annual awards today, honoring the best in television each year, and Game of Thrones made the list once again!
The TCA Awards ceremony announcing the winners will take place on Saturday, August 6th, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. “Jane the Virgin” star Jaime Camil is hosting the affair, where Game of Thrones will be up for two awards.
Their categories and competition:
OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN DRAMA
“The Americans,” FX
“Better Call Saul,” AMC
“Game of Thrones,” HBO
“The Leftovers,” HBO
“Mr. Robot,” USA
“UnREAL,” Lifetime
PROGRAM OF THE YEAR
“The Americans,” FX
“Fargo,” FX
“Game of Thrones,” HBO
“Making a Murderer,” Netflix
“Mr. Robot,” USA
“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” FX
“UnREAL,” Lifetime
Game of Thrones was nominated in both categories in 2015, but lost to The Americans for Drama and to Empire for Program of the Year. GoT won Outstanding Drama in 2013, Program of the Year in 2012, and Outstanding New Program in 2011.
