Iain Glen: Game of Thrones cast try to trick producers into revealing character deaths

As it turns out, Game of Thrones fans aren’t the only ones who are dying to learn the fates of their favorite characters. In a recent interview with Raidió Teilifís Éireann, series regular Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) revealed that himself and the rest of the cast routinely attempt to trick showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss into revealing information about the characters they play,

Dan and David the showrunners are very secretive. We try and trip them up and make them give something away but they never do…

It must be exhausting to constantly have your guard up for Benioff and Weiss, even among actors and crew. Glen is one of the few cast members to have survived all six seasons of the show, something Glen is especially proud of (and he should be considering how often advisers to Daenerys are knocked off),

So none of us really know, we certainly don’t know where it’s going. But even if I’m for the chop very shortly I would feel like I did pretty good. I survived pretty long.

Season 7 is rapidly approaching, and Glen says “I definitely want to hang in there, yeah, but I think everyone does.” Indeed, surviving until the end of the series would quite on a show known for its spectacular body count.

Regarding season 7, Glen echoes the comments of other cast members, and believes fans will not be disappointed in the pace of the seven episode season,

The story is going toward a conclusion. There’s no sense of treading water. You have storylines colliding. And the evolving drama and relationships are as good as they have ever been. It definitely feels like the beginning of the endgame.
