In a new interview, actor John Standing, who played the brief but memorable role of former Hand of the King Jon Arryn in the very first episode of Game of Thrones, discusses a deleted scene from the pilot episode via Los Siete Reinos.
The pilot episode of Game of Thrones is well known to be vastly different from the first broadcast episode, with many scenes and actors replaced. In this new video, John Standing, best known for playing a corpse with some stones over his eyes, discusses a cut scene between him and Lena Headey, and fans’ reaction to his role on the show.
Interesting to find out about what might have been! Looks like there’d be a lot of new scenes to discover if the pilot ever got a release.
