The Game of Thrones production visited Spain to film select scenes for Season 5, mainly the Daznak’s Pit sequence and most everything in Dorne. For Season 6, it made much greater use of Spanish locations, and this year, areas of the country will stand in for everything from Braavos to King’s Landing to the Dothraki Sea and beyond.
As Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) suggests towards the end of the below video, the extras in Spain have been very eager to embrace the show. The government has also been accommodating. The below video is a teaser for a longer behind-the-scenes feature that will air on Spanish networks later this month. It’s dubbed over in Spanish, but even if you can’t understand it, you can still catch a glimpse of some of the many locations on display, including areas in Girona, Navarre, Peñíscola, and more. Actors are in abundance as well, including Clarke, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran), Iain Glen (Jorah), Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’ghar), and Michiel Huisman (Daario Naharis).
Watch away.

As a cursory note, it’s interesting that Wright is included here, since Bran is presumably stuck in a cave filmed on a sound stage. It seems he’ll be traveling to other areas of Westeros or Essos through the use of his newfound powers, possibly to this area:
Here are a couple of other interesting shots from the video:
Tyrion, Grey Worm, and Missandei have an outdoor meeting.
Daenerys and a woman talk. We’re guessing this is someone Dany meets while traveling, probably against her will, with the Dothraki khalasar she met at the end of Season 5.
Jorah and Daario peek over a ledge.
