On Friday, we had word that Kit Harington’s taping for this past weekend’s The Jonathan Ross Show would contain few shocking revelations, and a whole lot more insistence that Jon Snow has passed on from this mortal coil, rung down the curtain and joined the bleeding choir invisible. How wrong our sources were. Instead it contained some shocks–just none for us.
As we noted, Ross seemed very skeptical of the bizarre yet hilarious claim that Kit Harington spent several months on set lying around dead. But what we didn’t know was that he planned to test that story, the best way possible. He hooked Harington up to a lie detector machine which would shock the poor actor any time he lied to us.
Ok, so maybe that’s not actually how a lie detector works. But you know, in Westeros it probably would–“stone of truth” and all. (And at least now we know what that strange prop was we saw in the promo pictures on Friday.) As for the nudity question, as we all know, Jon Snow knows nothing.
Meanwhile, in more things that don’t shock us, but seem to have completely stunned People Magazine and their ilk, Kit Harington attended the Olivier Awards (the UK version of the Tony Awards) on Sunday. He was there as a presenter, as he has recently rejoined the theater community with his casting in the lead role of Doctor Faustus. But that’s not what shocked the tabs. Instead it was that, for the first time at a high profile red carpet, he brought along girlfriend Rose Leslie and posed for photographs, ostensibly “coming out” as a couple publicly.
