WiC Weekly: May 7-13

Another week has passed, and another seven days of Game of Thrones-related news items have passed with them. Let’s go over the biggest stories of the week!

First up, if you haven’t already heard, HBO is making Game of Thrones spinoffs! But what should they be called?

We have ideas about the spinoffs, too. What about you? Make your voice heard!

Generally speaking, Game of Thrones season 6 did very well at awards shows. But you can’t win ’em all…

As always, Game of Thrones cast members are keeping very busy when not working on the show. Peter Dinklage, for example:

There’s a new story from George R.R. Martin coming! No, it’s not The Winds of Winter, but you could do worse:

Game of Thrones has taken fans on a crazy roller coaster over the past six seasons. Let’s track it.

Although they’ll wonderfully original creations, Game of Thrones characters still have analogues in myth and legend. This week, we examine the mythological antecedents of Sandor “the Hound” Clegane.

Depending on who you ask, you might hear that Game of Thrones is a feminist show or a misogynist show. We give our take.

Finally, let’s look forward a bit to The Winds of Winter — we still don’t know when it’s going to come out, but we know some of what to expect.
