New photos from Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 5 “The Door”

HBO has released several new photos from the fifth episode of Game of Thrones season 6. The episode, which will be called “The Door,” is Jack Bender’s first outing as director for the show. The episode preview is teasing exciting moments in the North and beyond the Wall, and an intriguing new Red priestess meeting with the leaders of Meereen.

Official episode synopsis: Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran learns a great deal. Brienne goes on a mission. Arya is given a chance to prove herself.

Fans have observed throughout the pre-season this year that the Night’s King looks a little different in season 6. Based on the credits listed for this photo , courtesy of HBO, it seems they were right. The Night’s King is credited as being played by Vladimir Furdik, a stunt performer who played the White Walker that Jon crossed swords with at Hardhome and did stunt work for the Tower of Joy scene this year.

Littlefinger is having a tense moment with Sansa, as glimpsed in the preview video. Will the Knights of the Vale be enough of a gift for her to overlook his actions last year?
