The UK is getting all the cool Game of Thrones-themed events lately. Yesterday, we reported that Sky Atlantic is giving area fans the chance to 1) attend a Night’s Watch training camp in the Tower of London, and 2) fly to the US for the world premiere of Game of thrones season 7. Now, Hullabaloo Promotions is putting together an epic Game of Thrones pub crawl to take place this summer in cities across the UK. It is called, of course, Crawl of Thrones.
The drill is standard: dress up as your favorite Game of Thrones character, wander from bar to bar in a huge group, and do your best Cersei/Tyrion impression by downing as much alcohol as possible. “The event itself is going to be so much fun,” said Hullabaloo spokesman JJ Gardner. “Everyone will be dressed up and be split into their different teams (which they’ve chosen when they’ve bought a ticket), with the teams named after the family houses in the show.” Then, at the end of the night, there will be a war.
Just kidding, although we expect some poorly coordinated play sword fighting to occur as the night goes on. Mindful of the need for distractions, Gardner promises that “[w]e’re going to be giving away prizes for the best dressed and for those who have gone the extra mile to make their costumes.”
Hullabaloo Promotions previously put together pub crawls based around Disney characters and Harry Potter, so this isn’t their first time at the rodeo.
