As Game of Thrones season 7 draws near, Sky Atlantic — which airs the show in the UK — has launched a competition for fans to win an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles to attend the world premiere! Also up for grabs are several spots in a Night’s Watch training camp, held on May 20 at the Tower of London.

Fans based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland can head to Join the Night’s Watch to create their own personal banner, partake in a Night’s Watch-themed quiz and enter for a chance to win one or both of the prizes. If you want a chance to attend the premiere, you’ll need to have a Facebook account — Sky asks your permission to post a streaming link to your wall. If you’re not willing to share that link, you’ll unfortunately miss out on the main prize.
If you want a chance to see the premiere, you need to enter the competition by May 31. The winner (plus guest!) must be available to travel to the US for three nights starting July 11. So we now have a tentative premiere date!
You can apply for a spot in the Night’s Watch training camp by filling out a Training Day form. There are two sessions happening on May 20th — one in the morning and one in the afternoon. There, the lucky winners will be taught to sword fight, target shoot, and handle ravens. They also get to ascent to the Iron Throne for profile photo opportunities. Winners will be selected every day between May 4th and May 17th, excluding weekends, so there’s plenty of time to register your interest.
Finally, there’s that Night’s Watch-themed quiz, which consists of ten timed questions. Players have 20 seconds to answer each question, with points allocated based on how quick the responses are. You have unlimited opportunities to up your score and make it on to the Wall of Honour, but don’t assume you can cheat your way to the top. The questions are randomized, and the answers move position every time, making it extremely difficult to top the current high score of 73636.
There’s no word yet on whether a spot on the leader board guarantees you a spot in the training session, but here’s hoping it does, because after wasting about an hour of my day, I managed to claw my way into third position. Here’s hoping I can hang on to it.
