Barrueco de Arriba
As the Game of Thrones cast begins work in their second Seville-based location today, over near Malpartida de Caceres, the crew has begun preparing to shoot a major action sequence, according to Hoy.
First up, hotel accommodations: Hoy has done its due diligence and uncovered that reservations have been made for 500 persons from November 14 through December 22. According to the publication, shooting near the waterside Barreuco de Arriba (pictured above) will start on November 19 and run for 22 days, while shooting at Las Breñas, a nearby private estate, starts on the 16th. This is where the show is expected to stage a major battle.

This does not mean 500 actors are taking part in the shoot, although there will be hundreds of extras involved. (Also, at least one major actor has already arrived.) This number includes many crew members who will show up ahead of the actors to prep the site.
Check out video of the production setting up below. If these are the shots they’re getting thus far, we stand a good chance of seeing some of the battle being filmed, although I expect that enhanced security will roll in once shooting begins.
El Periodico Extremadura has images from load-in as well, including of the horses that have been hired for the duration of the filming shoot.

According to its sources, over 100 horses have already arrived in the area and are undergoing daily training. If the plan is to use that many horses in one shoot, then this battle will officially be larger than the one staged last season for Battle of the Bastards, where the show only used 80 horses.
