We’ve got three months to go before Game of Thrones season 7 premieres on HBO, and the network has already started its marketing push. Part of that involves partnering with Major League Baseball to hold Game of Thrones theme nights at baseball stadiums across the country. According to Time Out Chicago, Guaranteed Rate Field — the home of the Chicago White Sox — will host such a theme night this summer when the Sox play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Attendees will be able to take their picture next to a replica of the Iron Throne as well as participate in “other Game of Thrones activities.” (Trial by combat?) Fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters, and the first 1500 people to buy special event tickets will receive bobbleheads figures of White Sox mascot Southpaw sitting on the Iron Throne.
Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to take a photo with a replica of the infamous Iron Throne.

That’s not the only way Game of Thrones is crossing over with professional baseball in season 7: New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard has a cameo role as a Lannister general.
Anyway, several other teams will host Game of Thrones theme nights throughout the year. The Sox will have theirs on July 19, just days after the season 7 premiere.
While we’re here, let’s look at some other interesting GoT-related stuff. Over at Wired, dialect coach Erik Singer walks viewers through several made-up languages while dropping words like “voiceless alveolar lateral affricate.” As two of the biggest made-up languages currently making the rounds, Dothraki and Valyrian get lots of attention.
Singer discusses High Valyrian around 6:40 and Dothraki at 8:10.
Finally, New York street artists put Joffrey Baratheon’s image on the side of a power box. You’re welcome, New York City.
We started a new power box painting yest too. Here's a little vid of the reveal! Still to be finished… #BornInCork #BredInKingsLanding pic.twitter.com/0T3D4XM8UW
