WiC Weekly: April 16-22

Welcome to WiC Weekly, where we go over the biggest Game of Thrones stories from the past week. And we had some hum-dingers this time.

First and foremost: HBO released over a dozen beautiful new pictures from Game of Thrones season 7! This is our first real look at what we’re in for! Soak it in:

Some of the photos rewarded close study more than others. The one of Gilly and Sam was particularly interesting.

A lot of people get murdered on Game of Thrones. Everyone knows that. But how many, and by whom, and how, and can we get that data is graph form, please?

Fans have been waiting to read The Winds of Winter for a long time now. They’ve found ways to pass the time.

Game of Thrones fans love a good theory. This one’s based on the awesome necklace Cersei wore in the latest season 7 promo.

We know who’s directing the episodes in Game of Thrones season 7. But there are other roles just as important.

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson has made a mark as the Gregor Clegane. He discusses his work on Game of Thrones and being a really really large person.

Siobhan Allan has been hiring extras for Game of Thrones since it started. Partake of her wisdom.

Does anyone want real-world science applied to Game of Thrones? “Want” doesn’t really come into it.

Let’s return to those photos one more time.
