Con of Thrones, the largest ever Game of Thrones fan convention, will be opening its doors for the first time on June 30 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Linguist David J. Peterson, the man who created the Dothraki and Valyrian languages, will be on hand for the occasion, as will Tommy Dune, the show’s Weapons Master.
Several Game of Thrones cast members will be there too, including:
- Iwan Rheon — Ramsay Bolton
- Kerry Ingram — Shireen Baratheon
- Kate Dickie — Lysa Arryn
- Rupert Vansittart — Bronze Yohn Royce
There are plenty of events planned for Con of Thrones, including panels, interviews, and discussions about Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire, all taking place over an epic three-day weekend. For tickets and info, check out the Con of Thrones website.
But before Con of Thrones takes place, there’s another event happening on April 8 and 9: the Wales Comic Con. James Cosmo (Lord Commander Jeor Mormont) will be on hand for that.
Not sure about the ravens, but make sure to grab tickets now and meet the legendary @MrJamesCosmo at Comic Con next weekend! #WCC2017 pic.twitter.com/57zBxZUZzs

The Wales Comic Con will also feature Ian McElhinney (Barristan Selmy) and Dominic Carter (Janos Slynt). There are plenty of chances to meet cast members going around.
Finally, the 2017 Star Wars Celebration will take place in two weeks, from April 13 to 16. It’s expected that Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) will appear on the panel for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Christie portrayed the chromed out Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will reprise that role in The Last Jedi.
At the 2016 Celebration in London, Christie actually hosted the Rogue One panel, so we expect her to make another appearance at this year’s event
Gwendoline Christie’s role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens was minimal at best, but the actress has confirmed she will have much more screen time as Captian Phasma when The Last Jedi hits theaters this December.
